Are you affected by the imprisonment of a family member?
'Out There' offers a free and confidential service for those serving the 'sentence on the outside'. We offer friendship, information and advice.
History
'Out There' Supporting Families of Prisoners, was founded in September 2006 as an initiative of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul. It is a well documented fact that families with a member in prison are often isolated, rejected and have difficulty in finding sources of information and support at a very stressful time. The organization therefore will try to alleviate, in some measure, this situation for families in the Greater Manchester Area.
Mission Statement
Respecting the dignity of the individual, we offer a supportive, compassionate and caring service, for prisoners’ families. We will collaborate with similar organisations which work for justice for the families of prisoners.
